Katie Kennedy,
Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a graduate of the Speech and Language Sciences program at Brock University (St. Catharines, Ontario) and the Speech Language Pathology program at Western University (London, Ontario). My strong desire to help and educate others, along with my love of working with children led me to pursue an education and career in this field.
My Story
I have a passion for providing family-centred care, as each family requires a unique approach to intervention depending on where they are at in their journey, what support the child needs, and what is functional for the family. I love creating a fun and engaging environment for children to reach their goals, while educating and empowering parents to support their child toward stronger communication. I have a strong interest in the areas of articulation/phonology, early language intervention, developmental language disorders, and literacy. I am looking forward to providing services in these areas as a member of the We Communicate team!
I currently live in Woodstock, where I was born and raised. I love drinking tea, reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, and going for walks or doing yoga to stay active.
